What’s Under the Hood: Power and Performance

The Build: Halogen, Quartz, and a Solid Connection
The heating element itself is a halogen-filled quartz tube. The halogen gas lets the filament run hotter while resisting wear and tear. The quartz keeps everything thermally stable and clear, so the infrared energy gets through efficiently. The tube also has a special coating to lock in heat and keep moisture out. That’s non-negotiable for a waterproof unit. For installation, we use an R7s connector. It’s double-ended, gives you a solid electrical contact, handles high current, and makes the lamp a simple drop-in replacement.
